BIO:

Coach Angelo played collegiate soccer at DIV I powerhouse Indiana University from 1976 to 1978, helping the Hoosiers to the 1976 and 1978 NCAA Div I Championship game.  In 1977 Angelo was selected first team All American and in 1978 won the Herman Trophy as the top collegiate soccer player in the country.  After the 1978 season Coach left Indiana and turned pro.  In 1991, Indiana University inducted Coach into the Athletic Hall of Fame and was also selected to the Soccer America College Team of  the Century.
 
Coach earned his first full team cap in 1979 and went on to represent the USA, 19 more times and also played in the 1980 and 1984 US Olympic Teams.

Coach also played in the NASL for the Los Angeles Aztecs and New York Cosmos from 1979 - 1984 .  From 1985 – 1988 Coach played in the Major Indoor Soccer League for the Kansas City Comets and St. Louis Steamers.  
 
Since retiring from playing, Coach became a Spanish teacher and soccer coach at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois.  He has also started and ran his own soccer club. 
 
Coach Angelo also holds a USSF B License.
