BU12 PREMIER Ray Gould

USSF B, EPL FA Level 2, Former Crystal Palace Academy Coach, Former Semi Professional Player

I have been in love with the wonderful game of soccer for over 45 years and have played at various levels throughout that time. When I was younger I had trials at professional clubs and played for some high-level semi-pro teams until family commitments curtailed my soccer ambitions.

About 12 years ago I decided to get into coaching soccer and follow the FA educational pathway. My qualifications include The FA Level 1 and 2 awards, FA Futsal and Goalkeeper Coaching badges and hope to use them to full effect at the Club.

I coached at a few semi-professional academies in England before getting a coaching role at The Crystal Palaces Academy at Selhurst Park. The highlight was coaching the ladies team from 2014-2017 and achieving a runners-up cup final medal.

This is my second time coaching at Fire after taking the BU14 Select team for 3 months in 2017. It was a very rewarding experience coaching the group of boys and made some fantastic friends and memories. I am equally excited to be coaching this year the BU12 Premier team and welcome the challenge and I am looking forward to creating a team of future soccer stars .
