Florida Fire Juniors

The Florida Fire Juniors U16 Boys and U17 Girls both faced #1 teams in their respective semi-final matches on Saturday, May 16th coming up short.  The Boys U16 lost 1-3 to Pinecrest Premier while the girls lost 0-1 to Tampa Bay United.  From everyone at the Florida Fire Juniors we'd like to wish both teams all the best next season as we're all confident of another title push next year.  GO FIRE!!

To the Florida Fire Juniors U16 Boys Premier and U17 Girls Premier this is an all too familiar position, but both would prefer to be no place else than at the FYSA State Cup Final Four at the Lake Myrtle Sports Park. After a successful 2014/15 campaign both teams have the opportunity to be the first FYSA State Cup Champion from Southwest Florida in the history of the competition.

The U16 Boys ranked #3 in Florida, #11 in Region 3 and #66 Nationally, kickoff in the early match at 8:30am vs Pinecrest Premier ranked #1 in Florida.  The boys who advanced to last seasons Championship match and ended runners-up look to advance this year and hoist the championship under the guidance of DOC/Coach Paul Williams and Assistant Coach Walter Rodrigues. Tomorrows match will be streamed online via StreamSports from the Auburndale Lake Myrtle Stadium. The winners of each semi-final advancing to Sunday's Championship Match scheduled for 8AM. Best of luck gentlemen!

The U17 Girls ranked #2 in Florida, #3 in Region 3 and #31 Nationally, also face off against the #1 team in the state, Tampa Bay United Premier Girls 97 with the match slated for 1:30pm kickoff. The girls lost at this stage of the tournament last year and when asked what differences he sees in his team coach Chris Cashion stated, "The girls were just happy to be in the semi-final last year and this year you see the belief that they belong here and that they can beat Tampa Bay Utd. The girls have trained very hard and I'm sure they will leave it all on the field this weekend." Best of luck ladies and hope to watch you in the Finals on Sunday!
