2013 Winter Season

What is the EXTREME Program? The EXTREME is a program administered by Florida Fire Juniors for athletes who participated in the Fall Optimist Soccer season.  It is primarily a training program with games or events alongside and against other southwest Florida clubs.

What kind of commitment is required? EXTREME is designed for the family/athlete that wants a little more out of their soccer experience.  It is a great stepping stone for players who plan to move to competitive soccer in the future.  The objective is to allow families/athletes to participate without conflicting with the Optimist recreational fall or spring season.  The EXTREME season fits nicely between the two Optimist seasons during January and February 2013.

Player Registration: Registration is completed online via the Got Soccer website (click here). If you've completed the pre-registration for our recent free clinics, you can use your same log-in to complete the formal registration process. After you've completed the online registration you'll receive an e-mail from the Administrative Director on finalizing your registration and request for Birth Verification. Practice and Play? All EXTREME teams will train 1 day per week. U9/U10 teams will play in 3 local inter-club events in Southwest Florida as well as have intra squad scrimmages with Florida Fire Juniors teams. U8 in-house pool play will provide 3 jamboree style events where players play in-house games. 1 of these events is expected to include involvement from players with another club. The age groups will train in an Academy environment where athletes train within their age group together with all athletes, not just their individual team.  All sessions will focus on individual skill development in a fun and positive environment.  Additionally, all players will receive training from experienced Florida Fire Juniors professional soccer trainers.  The program will run 6-8 weeks.

What is the Fee? The fee will be; U8 - $75 and U10 - $100 per player.  This includes the uniform, registration of athletes and coaches with Florida Youth Soccer Association, event entry fees, referee fees, soccer trainer fees and Collier County Parks field usage fees.  We are seeking sponsors to help offset the costs associated with this program. What are the Tournament/ Jamboree dates? There are a few local Southwest Florida events that we are registered to attend and these events are set for the months of January and February. Exact game times will be sent the week prior to each event.
